Talk to them. It’s important to have good equipment, advice and support.</li><li>And if you don’t smoke… don’t vape.</li></ul></div><div class="wrapper-container"><h4>Can vaping help people quit smoking?</h4><ul><li>Yes. Switching to vaping may help you quit smoking.</li><li>Vaping can be a good option for you if you’ve tried other ways to quit.</li><li>Vaping offers experiences similar to smoking a cigarette, which some people find helpful – and it’s usually cheaper than smoking.</li><li>Vaping products can only be sold to people aged 18 and over.</li></ul></div><div class="wrapper-container"><h4>Should you use nicotine e-liquid?</h4><ul><li>If you’re vaping to quit smoking, you’ll have more success using nicotine e-liquid.</li></ul></div><div class="wrapper-container"><h4>Can people vaping get support from Quitline?</h4><ul><li>Absolutely yes. The Advisor will help you understand the smoking addiction – you will identify the reasons why you smoke and come up with new ways to cope. You’ll get tips and suggestions on how to beat cravings.</p><p>Many Advisors are ex-smokers themselves and know what quitting is like. We’ll also send you a free Quit Pack with helpful info and a Quit Card. Quit Cards can be taken to your local pharmacy and redeemed to get subsidised nicotine patches, gum and lozenges. We’ll also follow up to see how you are getting on.</p><p>If you've contacted us before and started smoking again, feel free to call or text again. Quit Stats also keep track of how many days you've been smokefree and the total number of cigarettes you HAVEN'T smoked since you quit. It's a way of giving you a pat on the back and will help keep you motivated.</p></div><div class="wrapper-container"><h5>Your Quit Plan</h5><p>To keep yourself on track you can make an online plan to quit smoking and stay smoke-free. You’ll enter things like your goals and reasons for quitting, smoking triggers and strategies for not smoking.</p></div><div class="wrapper-container"><h5>Quit Blogs</h5><p>Our  <a  href='/community/blogs/all'>blog community</a> is a forum for thousands of New Zealanders who have either quit, want to quit or are quitting now.
