She sneaks up on you

avatar-icon
Addiction. Are they all bad? A friend of mine has decided that I have replaced one addiction for another. I don't smoke anymore. Now I work out almost everyday. She's "worried" lol. I'm finding it hard at the moment, if it wasn't for the endorphins I get from exercise I think I would have gone mad. I feel like my relationship is in total melt down now. I'm really hoping he doesn't ask me if I love him or says it to me. I don't know if I can say it back ....... If this is the case then I think it will be the hardest thing I have faced since quitting and will therefore be quite hard to continue to say no!

Been Awhile

Hellllooooooo fellow quitters!! It's been awhile! (23 Feb I checked :P)

So quick update: Little girl is not so little anymore lol 10 months old now! Not sleeping through the night ... Ergh so tired lol ... Stopped breast feeding at 9 months YAY!! Have had a few wines and beers and smoking hasn't crossed my mind .... I've completed Trail Runs and have signed up for my first Half Marathon!

BUT, this Sat will be the first time I've been out to a party and drank drank (you know what I mean :P) since I quit smoking .....

I'm a little scared .... I dont know anyone at this party either (which is waaay outta comfort zone!) and I would normally, when faced with this situation, join the smokers outside as a way of socialising ...

Anyone been here?

Hope your all well!

A trying day

avatar-icon
Today has been one of THOSE days. One where shaking off the depressed attitude has been hard. Shed a few tears. Haven't worked out in a few days which has probably contributed. Very much over Breastfeeding but hanging in there for another 2 months. Sooooooo much laundry, house cleaning, cooking and dishes. I've decided this year I'm gunna try new things and so far I've started Squash and surfing (which I am particularly proud of as I have a fear of the ocean)

It's days like today that sneak up on you and if it weren't for my daughter I might be more tempted to reach for that release.

I recently joined a page on Facebook to help me be inspired to get out the door and eat healthy .... I'm finding it funny how some peoples posts are so similar to something someone on here would post about smoking. It just shows you the power of addiction to anything. AND it's a bit ridiculous how many things in our daily lives are DESIGNED to make us want them so badly. Why would our fellow man make a product that will slowly kill us, whether it be cancer or obesity ..... And then make sure that it's VERY difficult to not use that product ..... How do they sleep at night?
