avatar-icon
Thxs to everyone for there good wishes for my 1st breathday :-) I wouldn't have made it without the brilliant support I received on this site xoxoxoxox

JOKE:
A man kills a deer and takes it home to cook for dinner. Both he and his wife decide that they won't tell the kids what kind of meat it is, but will give them a clue and let them guess. The dad said, "Well it's what Mommy calls me sometimes." The little girl screamed to her brother, "Don't eat it. Its an asshole!

Stats Update 366 days smokefree

avatar-icon
Smokefree days: 366 days
Cigarettes NOT smoked: 4758
Total savings: $4,293.00

Can you believe it I actually forgot my 1yr Anniversary yesterday!!!!!!! un friggin believable LOL

Well a day late, but definitely not a dollar short!!!!!! check out the money saved, were is it?????
I don't know how I ever afforded to smoke, crazy isn't it, it must be in the new clothes I have in my wardrobe, restaurants and week-ends away because it sure isn't in my bank account hehehehe

To all you quitters out there, a year on in all my wisdom I can honestly say it was so worth it!!!!!!
all the angst, hardship and pain and there is a LOT of that isn't there!!!!! but once you get past the 1st 3 days, then the 1st 3 mths I would say for me 30% (the 1st & worst bit) is won.
Then 6mths that goes up to 60% and so much easier, between then and a year a few moments but way fewer and further between, I think I am 90% done the other 10% will be constant surveillance and breathing through any tough times to stay quit.

Thanks so much to all you fellow quitters for all your wonderful support specially in those 1st 3mths
If it wasn't for quitline I would not be quit now..... I am positive of that, I would be poorer, unhealthier and still chained to a horrible disgusting habit.

Guys persevere it is SO SO SO worth it. Good luck to you all xoxoxoxox

Joke Friday 4 days to go b4 Im 1yr quit

avatar-icon
Laughing is so important to quitting!!!!! don't lose your sense of humour, I know its hard but keep laughing:

A husband exclaims to his wife one day, "Your butt is getting really big. It's bigger than the BBQ grill!" Later that night in bed, the husband makes some advances towards his wife who completely brushes him off. "What's wrong?" he asks. She answers, "Do you really think I'm going to fire up this big-ass grill for one little weenie?"

Have a great NOSE week-end (not one smoke evaaaaa!!!!!!)

Okay Friday Joke Post

avatar-icon
Bet you missed by bad jokes ah!!!!!!!

I said to my father: "Dad, I want to get married."
He said: "Alright son, who do you want to marry?"
I said: "I'd like to marry Miss Green".
He said: "You can't".
I said: "Why not?"
He said: "She's your half-sister. When I was a lad I had a bike and I got around a bit."
I said: "Alright, I'll marry Miss White."
He said: "You can't, she's your half-sister. Forget about it."
Well, I was a bit despondent and I walked around and my mum said to me: "What's wrong with you?"
I said: "Well, I said to Dad I wanted to marry Miss Green and he said I couldn't because she's my half-sister. I said, "All right, I'll marry Miss White." He said: 'You can't, she's your half-sister."
She said: "Look, you go and marry which one you like. He's not your father anyway!"

Hey everyone hope all is going well with your nonsmoking plan

avatar-icon
Just thought I would touch base with everyone and let you know I am doing great and still quit!!!!!!!
In fact I have 33days to go and I will be having my 1yr anniversary, so excited about that :-)
Hope everyone is going well, stick to your guns it gets easier and easier, every now and then I still have my little moments but nothing like in the 1st 3mths which I thought were the hardest.
for me the real tests were the 3rd day, the 3rd week and 3rd mth, that old dreaded 333 if you can push past those you can make it.

My husband said he had a dream last night that he caught me smoking and he was so disappointed and angry with me!!!!! just as well it was a dream ah. Its what made me sign in this morning check my stats and say hi to everyone.

All my best wishes to everyone, stay at it!!!!!!
Funny I thought giving up smoking was the hardest thing I would every do but I actually had more success there than losing weight!!!!!! go figure, wish there was a really good online group I could join if anyone knows of one let me know.

Cheers and keep at it. :-) you can do this!
