70 days

NOW I have been smokefree for ten weeks lol. Two more weeks and its three months, I can't believe it. My stats say that I have saved almost $600 but where is it? It's a wonder I was able to smoke in the first place!
Weight loss has been pretty disappointing though. I have been walking every day, eating really healthy and put on 2kg this week. I'm too embarrassed to send my results in this week! What the F? It's not fair! The first week I lost 500g, last week I neither gained or lost anything but this week I gained. It makes me want to give up but I know I can't. Just gotta keep being healthy and going for my walks and hopefully the weight will start coming off. But somethings not quite right, I feel. I think I need to do some investigating...
One of my friends quit smoking on the same day as I did. He lasted three days. I've done 70 days so far. Although I am kindof sad for him, I'm stoked for me! Definitely no going back now :o)

Oh dear, looks like I was a week ahead of myself! It's not my 10th week until next week. That's ok though I'm still going strong. The weight loss group is awesome too, I have been so motivated this week! My partner's parents dog is loving it, she's been getting two walks a day!
I love being smoke free, I'm finding that I am sleeping SO much better lately, and I feel so clean! My teeth look better too :-D

8 weeks

I can't believe it's already been two months, it seems like yesterday I quit. I don't mean that in a bad way haha I just mean, I've had hardly any hiccups during the quit process. I know I was ready to quit this time round because it really has been a breeze (apart from maybe 3 or 4 days over the past 8 weeks). I am so glad I quit!
Haven't been walking this week though the weather has been utter shyte. Hope everybody else is having a good week!

Setting some goals

avatar-icon
Well, somebody on here suggested we start a weight loss group, forgive me I don't remember your username. But what a great idea huh? Anyway, as I found these blogs so helpful for giving up smoking I figured it couldn't hurt to join some sort of weight loss blog! So it was perfect timing really.

It's only been two months (almost) since I quit smoking and as I have mentioned before, I've had a huge appetite over these past 8 weeks. Tomorrow is the first weigh in and the beginning of another new journey I can't wait to get started on. I remember how good I felt about myself 3 years ago (which is the last time I can remember being slim - eeek) and am itching to get back to that size.

Since N.O.P.E was also extremely helpful, what kind of slogan could we come up with for losing weight? Nothing too corny lol

Smokefree days: 48 days
Cigarettes NOT smoked: 480
Money saved: $408.00

I have been out walking every day over the past 2 weeks and it's been great. Now I can go for longer walks because I'm not huffing and puffing the whole way. Time to start working on that "quit smoking bulge" I've acquired!

Nearly caved

avatar-icon
Last night I had some drinks, and was absolutely craving a cigarette. My only saviour is that I had no money to purchase them. I went to see my partner thinking he would have some but he only had 1 left and I didn't want to take his last one.
OOOOOOOH naughty. I'm going to avoid drinking now... I was so very close to caving in but I made it. Thank goodness my partner didn't have any smokes to spare. Nearly 7 weeks without a smoke why would I want to ruin that!!!??

Nearly 6 weeks wow

Smokefree days: 41 days

Cigarettes NOT smoked: 410

Money saved: $357.00

Total savings: $357.00

Meaning tomorrow will be the beginning of week 6! Yay!! 410 cigarettes NOT smoked. I'm just trying to picture them in a pile, how disgusting!
I haven't been blogging very much but I have to admit, this past week I have had some intense cravings for smokes and I have been sucking a few lozenges here and there, even though I've been off the NRT for a week or so. Up until now the last time I craved a cigarette was in my first week of quitting. I have a test for Uni on Thursday and I'm not looking forward to it, maybe that's why I've been craving?
Anyway just saying hello and yes I'm still here and still N.O.P.E!
