Hi Quit Family, I have read your blogs for the last couple of days and its so good to see most of you (and me included) have managed to get through it unscathed. Those of you that had a slip up hey dont beat yourself up its just a wee setback, we have all had those but you will get back to smoke free when your ready. I am still sucking the heck out the lozengers but have been patch free for 3 weeks now so things are defo looking up. Hope you all have an awesome New years celebration and stay smoke free. Keep up the great motivating blogs, Cheers All

Well after reading axl's post yesterday I rang our friendly quit line staff and ordered the 7mg patches. I have 1 week left of the 14's and doing just fine with them. I am still sucking the lozenges to death as well, I have tried to find a mint that lasts as long as the lozenges but nothing seems to be as good. I feel if I could find something without the nicotine I would be even better off. Any suggestions would be gratefully accepted. Im so proud of myself it still isnt easy but Im hanging in here. Your encouragement in here is so great thanks everyone for blogging and posting on blogs. Your all just the best.

Woo hoo 47 days free of smokes

avatar-icon
Hi folks,, Im so proud of myself and I owe a lot of that to all you guys here that are so supportive, Ive reached day 47 and although I havnt posted many blogs I do read lots of your blogs and gained so much from them all. Im still using the nrt and just got my next 4 weeks of lower dose patches and lozengers, I probably could stop the patches but dont want to blow after such a struggle so far. Still taking it day by day and stilll hang out big time for a smoke but resisting the demon so far. Thanks to you all sooooooo much for your help

Can I do it

avatar-icon
Ok this is a first, writing a blog, Im old, a nanna, and been smoking 50+/day for years. 2 weeks ago, after being sick with colds for 2 months decided that it might be time to give this quitting a go. Had some patches in the cupboard from my hubbys failed attempt to give up in 2012, whacked one on and giving it a go. So far been smoke free for 9 days, sounds pathetic after reading all you blogs about making the 100+ club but for me a day is a milestone. Will keep you posted how things are going. Thanks for reading this.
