Other half still smoking

avatar-icon

I am 271 days smoke free.
And my significant other still smokes. He respects my space....most of the time.
No smoking in the house and in our cars. And I can handle when we're socializing with our friends and they all smoke around me. But he threw me a new challenge just recently. [Revenge smoking.] When we got into a argument he thought he'd hurt me by smoking in my face in our house. I don't condone violence but he nearly wore my jandals....and I'm not talking about on his feet. When he does stupid s#it like this it makes my quit 10 times as hard grrrrrrr. I Wonder Woman block all the smoking around me all day long. Think happy and positive thoughts all day...living the good smokefree vibe.
Then he pulled this stunt and I nearly angrily wanted to rip that cigarette out of his mouth and puff it.
After we both calmed down and I explained what nearly happen, he apologized. There's a lot of people rooting for me...my whanau and our friends who will all blame him if I start up again. I said to him babe I'm doing this for the both of us. And I need to be strong enough to support us both for when you are ready to join me ...you pussy (sorry not sorry for that last bit lol) I can't push him or nag him into quitting just lead a good example so he wants to quit.
Whooosahh whooosahhh
((( Positive Vibes )))

Smoking ages you

avatar-icon

Had a funny situation today while shopping with my sister.
She's from out of town and we were shopping locally.
The store keeper who knows me by face, greeted me then asked
" Is this your mom?" I started to laugh " No this is my sister "
hahahaha......" My younger sister " god I was pissing myself.
She was profusely apologizing "ohhh I sooo sorry"
My sister was not impressed bwahahaha. This has been happening frequently now when we're together. She's a heavy smoker.
I tell her all the time smoking ages you, you've got more winkles then me ow.

(Actually my friends did mention a few weeks into my quit that my skin had a nice healthy glow about it )

Give up smoking whanau !!
Save your beauty .....LOL

Still keeping it real

avatar-icon

Kia ora my Quit whanau,
Just popped by to have a jack nohi what day I'm up to lol. Day 257 auahi kore....chur just 108 days from my first year.
Arohamai for not being around to tautoko (support) I'm still looking after my queen....our mother. She still sick az but we surround her with love and laughter. There's been plenty of moments during her care where the old me would of stressed out and went for a smoke. But I've been handling everything ka pai. Gives me more precious time with her instead of spending most of my time outside like my siblings when they visit, smoking their dumb brains out.
I still get a visit from the Nicodemon now and again. Got a urge out of nowhere one night.....and I thought God dammmm!! where the hell did that come from. Kind of scared me that feeling could come around after so long.
I even asked my tane while out with our friends socializing ...and we all were chatting "blah blah blah ...can I have a puff....blah blah blah " everybody stopped and looked at me like I was a naughty little girl and said " NO !! hahaha bloody hypocrites. I was only testing them. lmao.
Even though the clowns still smoke, their encouragement and their belief in me keeps me strong. They might moan now and then, they wish they could give up . I tell them when you're ready come and see me...I'll help you.
Kia kaha koutou

You Can Do It

Kia ora Quit whanau
I see everyone is still fighting the good fight against the nicodemon....
kia kaha koutou N.O.P.E
Wishing you all a strong, positive mind.
I've been in hospital for a week and while there, I had a window view from my room. I was sadden at the sight of patients smoking outside my window all hours of the day. Even late after midnight or early as 6am in the cold and the rain. That's the strangle hold this addiction has on us even when we're half dead in hospital. How many of us have been sick with a flu, coughing our lungs out but still manage to suck on a cigarette and said dumb shit like ...I'll just smoke a menthol cos menthol is good for colds. ME... I've done that and the hospital crap too. But that was 182 days ago. My mind, my will is stronger now. I support my whanau and friends that want join me on this journey. They're still looking at me wondering what this chick is on ...LOL
I have another friend from my circle jumping on our smokefree waka. She's 3 days into it and we've discussed things she might want to stay away from for the next 2 weeks. Alternatives...epecially on our darts nights. She's my 5th to join me and the other 4 are still going strong.
Looking forward to my next milestone in 18days......bring on the 2 hundy !!
Sending some positive vibes to you all.

Still Kickin It

avatar-icon

Kia ora Quit whanau,
172 smoke free days for me ....and loving it
Sorry I haven't been around to tautoko ( support ) been keeping myself busy and haven't really thought about smoking until today when asked by my whanau. Lucky I could log in to here thru my phone, just to check how many days it's been lol.
Any hu I'm fine, I'm strong, no cravings. Still socialize hard with my mates who are 95% smokers. I've had my cousin join our smoke free waka since the 28th of June. So proud of her, because me and her are the next generation of kai karanga for our marae. Need our smoke free lungs to belt out those calls to the people.
Hope you're all doing fine, and those that aren't I hope things getting better soon.

Back to Life

avatar-icon

Kia ora Quit whanau,
I'm baaaaack. Had a lovely holiday over the ditch in Brizzy with money I saved not smoking 😊 Walked around like a true kiwi in a t-shirt while the locals were rugged up for their winter hahaha pffffft...not even cold ow. lol
Catch up with whanau I haven't seen for a decade since they left our beautiful shores. In a house full of 9 adults...me and the dog were the only non smokers. They had a cool outdoor area for smoking. But when we travelled from Brizzy to the Gold Coast I could see my whanau getting antsy on the long drive. Looked at the driver/ owner of the car and asked if they wanted to smoke. YUP they all go, but are you alright sis ? Cos man I've got this 👍 I'm not gonna be the ugly grumpy ex smoker and harp on to my whanau about giving up....but I will lead by example and just be positive, happy and free from smoking.
147 Smokefree days !!!!!!
NOPE
