Stats Update 550 days smokefree

Smokefree days: 550 days
Cigarettes NOT smoked: 6600
Total savings: $5,346.00
I still have trouble some days absorbing this small fact- that I have been smokefree for 550 days.
Some days (which are few and far between now) I still have a very strong desire to have a cigarette and other days the thought doesnt even enter my mind, Yipee!!! I vividly remember in my very early days of quitting, a fellow blogger said to me, that over time there would come a day when I would go all day without even thinking about a ciggie, I couldnt believe this then, and I really felt hard done by, because I had to give up smoking, And i struggled bigtime....... but I can definately say now to you newer quitters, your doing the best thing ever for yourself, you wont look back, hang in there, you can and will do this!!!
If you think you can- your right.
If you think you cant- your right.
A great big Hi to all my quit buddies, hope life is being kind to you all, Take care, and keep warm, xxx

Hi everyone

I feel like an invader now, and a newbie, even though I try to check in regularly, my busy liife is stopping me from commenting everytime i log in, and that sounds like Im too busy for you guys, which is not the case at all. Just want to say a HI to Sunray and Gilly60, who are stars, and both deserve a pat on the back !!!!! Im 501 days now without a ciggy, and I cant say that the desire to have one has gone, because its still there, but its only desire now, not a absolute must have, right now, or I will damage the closest person next to me craving, so it does get easier but the desire hasnt left me yet!!!
Im preparing for my cuzzies visit in the next few days, I have 2 of them coming from Norfolk Island, Im from Norfolk and was born and bred there, so Im really looking forward to having them and them seeing me as a smokefree person, never happened before!!!!! Hope your all keeping happy and embracing your new smokefree life, I am!!! Kia Kaha until next time, love Di,xxxx

points to ponder

Hi all, hope youve had a great long weekend, short week, yay!!!!
Just a couple of things i want to share with you all,and they really help me to re affirm why I have quit smoking. I rang up my life insurance company and told them I was a non smoker now, usual questions asked by them, and then he said to me,do you intend to smoke ever again? No I dont, I said, (and I felt quite proud, saying that) My premiums have just about halved, So Im saving even more money!!!! Then On Friday my neighbour, who has smoked for 50 odd years had a heart attack and is still in hospital, anyhow we have been over and aired his house out, its really gross, stale smoke has got into everything, his house stinks, another affirmation for me, Im certainly not one of those ex smokers who becomes the proverbial pain in the @%*#, and I would never tell some one to give up, but boy Im so very pleased that I dont smoke anymore and I dont stink like a smoker stinks, and to think I was one of them, its the hardest thing Ive probably done, but so so worth it, Have a good night everyone, xxx
