700 Days Getting my showoff on

Hey Guys

700 days. Celebrating the round number, and starting my countdown to 2 years. There is a leap year this year so it is going to take me 1 day longer, but I reckon I can manage it :-)

Big ups to M-Dog! Iron Man! Still chasing you buddy.

This addiction has really changed for me this past month. I am feeling much stronger in my quit, though know that I am a long way from being 100% secure. Forever an ex-smoker hey!

Keep pulling the hard yards guys. It gets easier and easier, and the positives far outweigh any desire to smoke.

Cheers, SQ

Stats Update 637 days smokefree

Smokefree days: 637 days
Cigarettes NOT smoked: 15925
Total savings: $11,970.00

Wow, nearly $12,000 not spent on ciggies since I quit, which was April 2014. That makes me ridiculously happy. I quit smoking after 32 years and it is one of the things that I am most proud of in my life. It's been hard but the benefits have been incredible. I am in control of my life. I make the decisions, not a nicotine addicted version of me. And I like the look of my rosy pink skin, rather than the old grey version I used to rock! The physical, psychological, social and financial benefits have been countless.

To all you new quitters, congratulations. I personally think the serious decision to quit is as hard as the actual quitting. And you've done it. So sit back, buckle up, put your plans in place, use the 4 d's, practice ODAAT, and enjoy the ride.

Big love to my quit buddies, nice to see everyone cruising along. Happy new year!

500 Days

Hey all. Here it is, 500 days. Who would have thought? Certainly not me. A pack a day for 30 odd years and here I am, none a day for 500 days.

It's still not all rosy, and I occasionally get a craving that is wickedly strong, but I just remind myself that I am a non-smoker now and move on to thinking about something else.

Life is good in my world. Glad to read and see things are looking pretty good in others as well. Take care, stay strong, keep your eye on the prize, and remember, 'You Can Do This!'
