Nothing odd about my Stats today

Smokefree days: 2,380
Cigarettes not smoked: 35,700
Total savings: $39,270

Nice even symmetrical stats. A tad over 6 & a half years.

I have been at this point before, many years ago. Quit Line did not exist then, nor did the Mantra NOPE.
I gave up smoking for 12 years. Yes, 12 Years & whilst on Holiday, I had a smoke. This one smoke awakened my addiction to nicotine & i recommenced smoking for another 15 years. On the 29th of October 2012, I again become smokefree. Like the first time, I did it "cold turkey".

You will come across the Mantra NOPE, often in this Forum. It means Not One Puff Ever & it is exactly that, Not One Puff Ever again.
Here I am again @ 6.5 Years & I am absolutely certain, that a smoke now will get me back into that addiction cycle again.

When we give up smoking we train ourselves to not be dependant on Nicotine. We push it under the surface & ignore it, but it is still there, it's asleep, waiting for that nicotine rush so that it can "be our friend again".

I will never smoke again, I am in total control over this blasted addiction, but it took me years to come to this understanding..

I post this for the "Newbees". NOPE is damned important. You have to live by it. Forever.

Stats Update 2218 days smokefree

Smokefree days: 2,218
Total savings: $36,597

Decided to do some Blogging today, but i have flagged it away.

Quitline, there are still issues with the Site. I tried to change my Avatar & was rewarded with a message that said "Thankyou for filling out the form". Also, the box is ticked to show achievements on the Blogs. Where are they ?

Since the Migration away from the old Site, there has been a mass Exodus. Look at the last 2 days, 1 Blog for each Day. Hardly vibrant is it ?

Us "Oldies" have walked away. It took far to long to sort out all the problems & here we are Months later & they still persist.

Quitline, This Site is so Bland & user unfriendly, You need to revisit your Vision & provide a Service that works.

I am afraid it is time to "Pull the Plug".

If there is anyone reading this. I gave up smoking after being addicted to Nicotine for 41 years. I did it Cold Turkey.

The 29th of October 2012 was the day I turned my life around & I have never regretted it.
