Ciggz

avatar-icon

Today is the 13th of May currently 8.26am. I bought a pack of 30g recently for $70 it usually goes along with a box of alchahol which all up cost me $100. Two very expensive habits I would love to quit. Does anybody have any ideas for me. Would be appreciated 😊 I'm a 26 year old female tryna save a buck and not smell of nasty cigarette butts 🤮

Stats Update 1485 days smokefree Thats 4 years Smoke free

avatar-icon

Smokefree days: 1,485 Wow ! I haven’t been on here for so long. Still not smoking so my stats are 100% accurate. All I can say is I hardly think about smoking these daysBut when I do I think of how much I would love one but I know if I had one puff I would be right back to it so I don’t. It helps that nobody around me smokes. I think once you get past the addiction of smoking it’s easier to reason with yourself to not smoke. The memories of why you enjoyed smoking are still there but the addiction is gone so you don’t have those overwhelming urges and cravings.

Day 124

avatar-icon

I'm loving not smoking. the only thing i don't like is the kg's I'm putting on but I'm getting it covered once the level 2 hits so i can do longer walks. even tho i have had bad news with my Nan the helped raised past away and with this virus going around not able to go and say my goodbyes etc. normally i would go for a smoke but manged to stay away from them. So im ticking that up as a win. I hope everyone else is doing well?

Stats Update 500 days smokefree

avatar-icon

Smokefree days: 500
Total savings: $5,974
Cigarettes not smoked: 5000

That's alot of cigarettes not gone into my lungs

These stats make me realise where I should be had I not smoked in 2018...some days I feel I should be further along BUT if I hadn't relapsed I probably would still be toying with the notion of thinking I could have just 'one'

To me their is no such thing as just 'one' puff I know if I have a puff I will fall straight back to my old level of consumption

I love being a ex smoker it's something I always wanted to be...FREE!!

Just a quick post to mark these days 😊👍remember not smoking helps! Live for NOPE!

thanks

avatar-icon

Thanks to all who have responded to my recent post. It is lovely to see some names who have been with me over the years. Feels rather like family. Nanaturtle asks how I recovered my health and strength. I come from a largely Scottish ancestry so there is a streak of stubborness. How did I find my lovely? We have known each other for many years and more recently we both have had a change of circumstances and it just feels right to support each other and share dancing and companionship. Once again to those just starting down this trail. It is hard but gets easier and believe me the results are worth the effort and times of down. Until next year, Cheers, Gomot.
