So up to day three and I have started to pace every time I feel the need for a smoke until it goes.... tried the distraction glass of water deep breaths and they just seemed to make it worse so.... the boys at work are gonna laugh at me tomorrow when I start pacing

    Hi Rach
So you find 'Do Someting' works better for you, well thats great, do you know why...
Instead of pacing up & down, try doing something, perhaps housework, mow the lawn, hang the washing, clean a window, paint a picture, fun time with your kids, play a game with them etc.. yea yea lots of those are all house chores i know but they still need doing and won't go away on their own, now you're looking for something to take your mind off smoking and things like that work well on 2 fronts as it gets a job done at the same time or means you're spending time with family.
At work you'll probably be best to just keep working, lunchtime you could take a quick short walk and after dinner even another walk to keep up with your health & fitness which i know needs you to look at cos its the same for every smoker.
Chewing gum seemed to help me a lot, just normal sugar free chewing gum, its nice, gives you a fresh breath and is very cheap compared to smokes.
    Just some idea's for you.
    Cheers

Welcome Rach I have to agree with Ady..Do something!!..My house was gleaming from top to bottom and our bellies were full from all my cooking it really does help to invest your time into house work or cooking...I only wish I had the same devotion to the house as I did in the early days...you CAN do this!

I can back the "do something" advice.
Over the weekend i cleaned the pantry, got a new dresser and shifted furniture and tidied wardrobes etc etc.

Feels so good having it tidy. There still more to do though!

Have the day off on wednesday so if weather is fine then ill be in garden and doing lawns.

Excellent work, if pacing does it for you at work then go for it. Dance even, charge them for the entertainment, its a win win situation. Keep busy and your thoughts on good things. With you all the way.

Get a fitbit Rach-pace the streets (that is still OK as long as its solo) and keep not smoking.
