WOW! I have not smoked in 10 days! Been taking Chantix-----I do not "want" a cigarette---BUT---has anyone who stopped experienced:

1. a very itchy, dry throat!! What do I do? I have used cough drops, lozenges, mints, etc......
2. somewhat dizzy and nervous and VERY easy to get upset---what do I do?? I've tried meditation, staying busy, etc....

Hi Anon their is something called the quitters flu when you first quit smoking and its not uncommon to get sick in the first few weeks...as for dizziness this could be from getting more oxygen to your brain now you have stopped smoking...the anxiety will pass in time and so will your upsetting moods just give it time...I trust you also checked with your doctor about side effects of Champix as their could be some affecting you that i don't know about...congrats on 10 days free 😊

I just did quick Google dry mouth and dizziness could be side effect...I suggest you talk more to your local GP to be on the safe side....

I would definitely check in with your doctor on this one especially the dizziness. Just to be on the safe side.

See doctor for medical advice but I would also drink heaps of water as well to keep hydrated 😊
