Smokefree days: 2,560
Total savings: $58,624

It was 12 July 2012 when we finally got to our sticky quit. Goodness knows, we’d tried so many, many times before. The difference? I think it was the support of the other quitters on this site who just said stay strong, keep going and suchlike. So, we did and honestly we could never imagine smoking again. When I see someone smoking, I’m not jealous. I’m relieved to be free.

We do not have $117,248.00 in our bank account but we have definitely enjoyed spending that money on nicer things than smokes. Hope everyone is having a lovely day (raining here) and a nice weekend coming up.

Wow, seven years is epic. Congratulations to both of you.

I love how you support each other, and always have each others back.

You are so right about the support here. It was the difference for me too i'm sure.

Thanks to both of you for giving me something to still aim for, and thanks too for all you do supporting everyone here.

I'm hoping for a lazy quiet weekend - maybe up all night watching the cricket on Sunday night.

Have a good one you two, with a nice glass or two of something special to celebrate.

Many thanks to you and nana22 for the kind thoughts to me regarding my husband. He home and in good spirits. Totally out of blue. He never been smoker is active and no where near being over weight so my attitude now is just enjoy every day with your loved ones an don't sweat anything else.

    Woohoo you two.!!

I'm still trailing you by a couple of months, but that will never change.

With all the price increases over the last 7 years I don't check savings, but I know I feel richer and healthier every day.

Enjoy whatever you choose to do to celebrate ;-)

Congratulations you two. I remember when you first set out on your journey. The beginning is always difficult isn't it?
Glad you made it. Who cares about where the money saved has gone, at least we had a lot more fun spending it than we would have done Smoking It.
    Well done.
