OK, not quite true.

I am having early migraine symptoms today. I get them from time-to-time so it's not unexpected I should get one during the quitting process. I've never been sure what triggers them, but I know stress can speed the process up.

Something's still playing havoc with my sleep processes. I went to bed 9:30 PM, slept to 1 AM, got back to sleep about 2:30, slept to about 7:30 didn't want to get up so I dozed off and on until a little before 10:30 AM. I don't feel quite as zapped as I have the last few days, but I also don't feel completely rested. I'm pinning it on the Champix, but it could be anything.

I'm definately staying home today. Catch up on some of the comedy TV stuff I recorded during the week and wasn't in the mood to watch.

So far I haven't had any cravings today. It's only day 8 so I know it's just my brain being subtle while getting ready for a guerilla attack on my commonsense. I'm hoping to defeat whatever is coming mostly by being in a place where it would be impossible to get a cigarette.

Take that you 1.5 kilos of ugly wrinkled grey matter :)

yes sleep processes are severely impacted while quitting the nicodemon, I can't say it gets any better one year down the track, though we get used to it I think, urges are momentary by the time you write a blog the urges/cravings are usually gone, it's great your first eight days are done, I think the beginning is the most difficult it does get much much easier as time goes by :)

Your sleep issues may or may not be due to champix. Sometimes it's an issue anyway at the beginning of quitting. Hope the headache hasn't progressed to full on migraine. Nothing worse. Well i bet there is, but not if you're the one with the migraine! 8 days is fantastic work. Keep it up.

I had the same sleeping "process" like you ! It can be the side effect of your Champix, or, part of the quitting process. Just don't take the sleeping too seriously. I surfed the net at 1pm or 3 pm too. Go youtube, plenty to watch :) Once you get tired, you will be able to sleep.

I had a real bad migraine at week 3. I normally have migraine once every month or 2. So, just normal. I did have more minor headache on and off, but not sure was due to the cold or the quit...

    Thanks all.

@Bicycle. So far I'm not seeing the migraine as abnormal, just annoying. So far I've just had a few lots of "sparkles" so I know it's hovering in the background, I just wish it would hit and clear itself out my system for a month or two.
