Welcome to The Quit Group, New Zealand
Quitting smoking is hard work but you don’t have to do it alone. If you are thinking about quitting, are working to become a non-smoker, or you have relapsed - you will find support and information on this site and through the Quitline.
Phone 0800 778 778 if you would like to speak to a Quitline Advisor. The Quitline offers free telephone support, resources and low cost nicotine patches, gum and lozenges to New Zealand residents.
Has your life been affected by the tobacco industry?
The Māori Affairs Select Committee is holding an inquiry into the tobacco industry in Aotearoa and the consequences of tobacco use for Māori.
This is a unique and important opportunity for you to tell your story about how tobacco has impacted on you, your whanau, your tupuna and the future of your mokopuna. Your submission will take us one step closer to a Tobacco-free Aotearoa 2020.
Please consider making a submission to the committee so they understand the full impact of tobacco on Māori. It's easy to do - click here to find out more. Deadline is 29th January 2010.
